My band Chandeliers has a new release. It's something I've always wanted to do. It's a collection of nearly lost recordings.
You see, when we practice, we try to record as much as possible. Just one mic in the middle of the room into a tascam. So when one member goes to take a whizz and some spontaneous moment happens... it's caught on tape. Or if a member is out of town we have something to show them.
The release is called Dirty Moves, it's only on cassette but we should be getting vinyl in the mail any minute now. It looks like a CD will be coming out in the future as well. (UK only)
For now, you can scroll down on our blog and hear the whole A side for free. Also below that, a friend of ours (Mark Brown) in Baltimore made his own video mix that features some tracks on side B.

what's a "tape"?
it's very cool that you're releasing on tape... except if I get it, i'll just end up dumping it to an electronic version... cause I'm a loser... and cause I don't have a proper tape stereo setup... any chance you'll be selling it electronically? if so you'll see my money come flying at you like a spider monkey. my band is planning on releasing our ep on tape, too. it'll have a redeemable code to download the digital versions =)
fyi - all of our releases have a download code.
Saw the vinyl today. A bit more pink than it is red. very nice. also - as of now we're sold out of the tapes. The tape has 1 extra track, but you get that in the download. Couldn't fit it on vinyl. Hi djugel,
Will downloadable version be on emusic.com? This sounds like it coouuld be you? link yep .. that's us too. I don't know if this will be on emusic though. Right now you can only get the release from the label, who's site seems flakey at the moment. (great).
