45 minute compact audio cassette by San Francisco noise artist fognozzle .
Individually taped directly from the digital master, each cassette is hand assembled and labeled. Packaging will vary as a series of photos is being printed onto transparent labels and cut down to the cassette.
Over twenty years in the making, this recording incorporates field recordings and other source material collected between 1986 and 2008 in Western Massachusetts and the San Francisco Bay Area. More than 100 hours of audio recordings have been distilled into a 45 minute exploration of Temple Woods.

Oh man, I miss hand assembling and dubbing cassette releases. This was the de facto format for demo tapes back in my rock band days, right before CD burners were affordable. This makes me nostalgic for those days...
Same here, I get nostalgic for those days of compiling mix tapes of local radio stations, early tracker toonz and the odd record mixing..
yeah, this was a nostalgia based project - the primary sound sources were many many old cassettes from my previous bands and the cassette zine I did in the late 80s - the nostalgia wears off a little as I do the actual assembly work on these, though...
