 - or Henry Allingham as he was know to his friends. I find it quite mad that he was alive across 3 centuries!6:30am and getting ready for work makes 1am and drinking seem like a much worse idea.
Thanks everyone! Drinking @ 1am is a sound idea. Getting up for work @ 6.30am is what really fucking sucks.
Now youre in your 30's you will recognise this important difference. 30 is a hard age to swallow, but I like the wisdom that you start to obtain as you get into your 30s. You kind of know how to vibe out people and situations much better and faster. Being older doesn't suck, it's just depends how well you represent yourself. You might not notice it at exactly at 30 but your metabolism will start to slow, and those beers start to stick a little easier. Just stay fit!

the 30s were a great time, btw... much better than the 20s, imo. As strangus suggested, you start to learn a little more about yourself, and life will never stop feeding you opportunities to grow and make new discoveries. congrats… hope your first day as a 30 year old will be good

I hope you had a good time last night and that the hangover doesn't stick with you all day. 30 isn't old at all, you still have plenty of time to continue doing great things. You will have all the time in the world to think about being old when you are immobile and senile... And that's only going to happen when you like 34 or something. ;) /mike think about it as 20+10
which really is actually, cos you're about to enter the best period of the life of a man (or at least i hope it's so for you as it were for me!) happy bday! Happy birthday. Don't think of 30 as old. If you do then it's just showing the truth of the saying that Youth is wasted on the Young.
When I was 30 - quite some years ago, I was lonely and living at home with my parents. (And yes girls - he's single!) I sat around all depressed and thought well this is it for the next 50 years. Since then I got married, had two kids and released half a dozen noise albums. 30 isn't old. Old is old - I've met people who were old at 25 and people who were young at 75. Pull yourself together young feller. 30 isn't old! Because there's no way in hell I'm old!
