Yup I'm in my second full week of gainful employment as a Systems Engineer for Oversee.net - it's a domain brokerage and registrar, fairly simple stuff, pretty low stress compared to the other stuff I've done. But the best part is the 1 hour commute from Fullerton into downtown LA. Hell yeah! And I get to work on the 43rd floor, so on clear days like today (well, for LA it was clear), i could see from malibu to pasadena to orange county.
anyway really excited i'm finally working and my first paycheck will be active any day now, and we can GO TO THE STORE!

My musical output is strange because I come from a weird musical upbringing as an opera singer, marching trumpet player, composition student, free improvisor and musicologist. I love to spin house music and mix it up with broken beat funk, and knew house only from tacking myself to the foreskin of smaller underground clubs in chicago, where i even ended up as a resident dj and performance collaborator. When I DJ, I play mostly vinyl. But I do burn digital tracks onto CD to throw into the mix. Some great stuff is simply too good to pass up.
I sequence studio tracks using Digital Performer and used to have a much more extensive hardware setup before I did a little life reset a couple of years back. Otherwise, I perform live with various looping samplers, hardware fx, and an arsenal of toys and natural objects to sample while I improvise. +Most Recent Blogs

not sarcastic at all, i take public transportation, so it's a train and a subway away. one of the easiest commutes i've ever had.

Nice, congrats man! I feel you on the commute - my current commute is between 1.5 and 2 hours... A long commute can be nice though especially if you can stuff it all into one train ride, or a train and a bus. Good reading time, or time to get a few extra Z's in. :-)
I got a job 3 weeks ago selling used toyotas......it's ok.
