The acoustic guitar and chord changes remind me of Simon and Garfunkel.
^ totally, s n g'funkel
sounds like fredo's voice... a side project perhaps? some anthroposophical vibe in the animations, love it
That's amazing, particularly the chorus.
yeah, it's just great writing. I love how simple the arrangement is as well. The guy who made this band is called Luke Temple and his solo music is wonderful as well.
these guys toured with Grizzly Bear...
that would make sense. I actually think I like Luke Temple's music a lot more than Grizzly Bear's. I guess their stuff hasn't penetrated me yet... there's a few Grizzly Bear songs I really like, but structurally I just don't get them. Fantastic production though, and obviously wonderful voices. I am happy to say I'm going to be playing at a Festival next to them in early November.
interesting blend of animal collective style density/roomy sound with a more traditional indie song form. i wonder if my wife will like this stuff...
pffftt.. animal collective. They are a band that I give the title "I'll believe it when I see it" Such a presumptious band.
This on the other hand this is great!!! I hate how most music "sounds" like music you should like but it's just taste over substance. This song, you can't deny those cord changes, it's great to hear someone write a song with some reptition for once. Sounds like real music. As for Grizzly Bear (terrible name). My friends and I were checking out all the bands on the list for Pitchfork .. most of them made us laugh (in a bad way) .. I'll have to admit none of us had anything remotely bad to say. ... too bad about the name. I got a new band name Digital Black Lazer Bear love that string synth. Sounds like the Yamaha SS30
link Sorry flies that wasn't directed towards you,
it's just I mean.... I think most of us here loved the "dense" sound.. and we all did before Animal Collective first turned on their gear .. or graduated high school. djugel said: " I got a new band name Digital Black Lazer Bear" LOL! Though I think Wolf might sound better instead of Bear yeah
nice hearing some changes for sure. sounds like that smiths song "there is a light that never goes out" very true roshi ... actually it started as wolf. creepy.
I was thinking "black leather bear" might get you some instant new fans.
