Electronic Music promo: NQ – Tanger at Night ::::::::: Luvsound: Single of the week
Store Written August 21 2009 , Tags: drone, luvsound, nq
I'm really happy to tell you, that my track "Tanger at Night" is the single of the week at the lovely luvsound.

here's a brief description about the process:

The foundation is a two bar klezmer loop i found on a flexi disc. I made a couple of
versions of it and automated their levels with the lorenz attractor driven lfo i wrote a couple of months ago.

The resulting piece was played back into my appartment and re-recorded with a cheap iphone recording software overand over again, drowning the entire piece in ambient noise, room resonances and the noise and errors of shitty software converters and
microphones.

the room+shitty recordings treatment sounds wonderful!

my only complaint is that I'm lying on my couch at the moment and it'd have been nice if that track went for an hour or two :P
I'm about to investigate this a little further. Em411 own drexonfield spark that idea with his distance recordings release. He deserves a fair bit of credit
I'm happy you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comme t
@cartesia my solution for that this morning was to flip looping on in my mp3 player :-)
I'm sitting in a room...yadda yadda

Really lush textures.....................i wanted it to go on for hours too! xx
I love the separation of the low-midrange klezmer stuff from what sounds like it might be handling noise, breeze, and other lovely fuzz that sits on top of the track - fun to listen within those two larger layers for the dozens of other subtle layers within them
i'm pretty that it was so windy outside that day, when i recorded this and lots of tiny stuff was blown down the street and the neighbours upstairs. it's great when things just fall into place. i'm really happy with this.
i think i need to explore this thought of doing longer tracks and not be scared by the 10 minute marker
this was great to hear after a long day at work. Great noise, excellent tonal swells amidst the confusion of the foundsound. Really forceful but delicate.

I second the "This would be great if it were 20 minutes long or more." sentiment.

Lovely. Truly.
Beautiful work! I've been enjoying it very very much.
this is a great construction, very well done!
