It's a very novel gimmick, but if I were the artist I'd worry about it completely overshadowing the music -- no-one's mentioned the music everywhere I've seen this posted (and it's doing the rounds), unless it's to say it's not very good. His rodomontade gets old quick too, but perhaps I'm being just being english (I guess you need to brag these days to get noticed).
the idea is pretty fun. but i'd have the same doubt as ochre.
i think its very pretentious of him to charge the price he is, its very much a novel gimmick as ochre says but i mean its not even a good one its way over priced i theramin is easy to build so i mean basically your paying for a big pcb which is not worth it.
His performance style is ok at best and to be honest how you perform and what you use is not really a huge deal its the music and i think he lacks alot in that department it has no heart to me it feels like he just slaps a few things together and thats it. i think you guys overestimate the intelligence of the rest of the general population.

This is gimmick, and a gimmick is a gimmick.. Like.. a cat jumping into a box youtube videos and the adds for that online game (Evelon, evertits?) that is all tits. I dun fucking care how "live" you are, how special your technique is, what software you use, what monitors you have, whatever your post-creation self referential appraisal of your own art is, or if you wear cool sunglasses, if a chick is in your band, if one of you is (crazy|schizo|a genius|intelligent|gay|transvestite|rebellious|ruff|from Brooklyn) or if your music is (better|more interesting|underground|sick|hip|different|intelligent|backed up by theoretical and intellectual babbling|made with analog|made with digital|8-bit|lowfi|real|fake|good|bad).. Make the music. Put it online (or sell it) in a electronically consumable fashion. And Shut the Fuck Up. Signup to comment
