Today I chatted with DerryGodo, tunalicker and monty (in reverse chronological order). Twas fun.
I should have posted this link before, if anyone wants to set up their own mibbit link (there's a bunch of options you can set): link I think you need an account to make it work, but the sign up form is only 2~3 text boxes and an email confirmation. didn't work for me. i got terminated and stopped trying after a few attempts
i can see that this is a step up from irc-clients, but this is still too much of a workaround for me. sorry, don't want to talk down your effort.

it would be really easy for admin to link this @ the top of the em411 main page. mibbit's logo is awesome.

still find emchat way more usefull, as one could always see how many people were there. Plus. loads of irc stuff is disabled at my work computer this is cool.
