About me
I prefer a Neurosis screamfest to a Moroder bassline any day of the week.

A few years ago I lost basically everything I've ever done in a hard drive crash (the backup drive literally burned up). So imagine my surprise when a friend of mine told me that he had 200+ MBs of old mp3:s of mine on one of his computers.
Man there was some strange shit there. A cover of "we are the world" with finnish speech synthesis for vocals for example.
I don't remember even half of it. Funny thing is, I don't remember being a fall down blackout drunk either. Which is the only reasonable explanation for most of those songs. What gives?
Anyway, if you haven't listened to your old stuff in a while, I highly recommend it.
Oh and by the way, if you have my old "El Cangrejo" tracks lying around somewhere I'd really appreciate you PM:ing me.

That's what the blackout part means.

djugel: hahaha, doesn't sound that healthy.
zanf: Alright, here's one. The concept was to make an extremely cheesy track and distribute it on p2p networks as a fake Slint cover to fuck with post rock heads. link

i picked up a box of old belongings from my mom's place and in it were a few old cassettes i made back in junior high. it's funny how metal and angry i was back then. i seriously couldn't play most of what was recorded on the cassette today. i only remember having to hitch a ride (couldn't drive yet) down to the pubic library (remember those things?) to check out a book on audio recording. with it i was able to get a really ghetto overdub recording setup by removing the erase head on my dual cassette boombox. ahh memories....
maybe i'll root around and see if i have any orgical cds i did on rebirth/reason 1 and release a cheesy montage.

any of you etymologists know where the term "tripping balls" came from?
just seems like there should be a story there.
