--> I just got a condenser mic- the Octava 219 and I've plugged it in through the front mic socket of the 828 and switched on the 48v phantom power but there is no sound. Why? What do I need to do?

Good luck with that tooth, I wanna hear some
music with it as soon as your up and running!!!

I'll see what I can do. Up until now I've been using the built in condenser in my powerbook! But it seems to really work with my voice so I might carry on using it and use the 319 for "sounds".

hell ya, its amazing what a little eq can do to a decent mic too, make it
sound like a much better mic thats for sure tooth!
