Electronic Music promo: I’ve released my first album!
Store Written November 20 2009 , Tags: eENIK
About 6 or 7 years ago I decided to find a new time waster that would diffuse my rabid lust for Playstation 2. So one cold day while living in Japan ,I IMed an enemy of mine and randomly asked if he knew of any 'sound mixing software'. Becoming a musician was not at all on my mind, though a chain of curious investigation somehow led me into becoming a frontman for a band. My curiosity killed more than a cat, because today the entire webbernuts was slayed by the release of eENIK’s ‘Oddomatic’.

I thank the entire cast of EM411 for those many years of providing a knowledge base and forum that has allowed me to realize a creative vision. While at its core eENIK is a rock band, we strive for a more than that. All the spatterings of moody bedroom tech you hear threaded into eENIK's chainmail is my homage to khoral, ricemutt, cbit, papergoose, dkarma, MIXIT samples, Fredo, jdg, astroid and the countless others who have inspired.

A fine gent and a man of valor, 'Mr. Bruzenak' (very popular on this site) courteously contributed to track 10 on the album, which is kind of reprisal of the first track. While my budget was meager, he did accept payment in as much soft serve vanilla he could fit into one orifice in pull of the lever. Needless to say, Scott beat the machine and put our local Baskin Robbins out of business.

If you want to rock out today, go to our Myspace page and download a free track called 'Just for Men' that will be up for another day or so. I know sAMsKI and some others have been waiting for this release. The album is for sale through Bandbox on our main site and on Myspace.

Shooting my love from a rainbow howitzer: clawback.

Congratulations! listening to the clips, epic stuff. Excellent cover art (oops, i mean blog header i guess, the architectural symmetry and white text, dammit!)
Pretty awesome, not what I was expecting, but definitely sweet. Good work!
reminds me of faith no more.
i like.
Cool, and thanks for the shoutout
It's a fun album, I didn't expect that kind of music here either!
I especially loved "Lazerblasts and Lace", that's a great song, with a sort of Alice in Chains feeling, and the Panama riff makes me want to go back to my (so ancient) electric days...
Congrats!
Thanks for the positive feedback. We have held this music close to us for a few years now not knowing what kind of response it would generate when we put it in front of people. i cut my teeth on these songs and worked them many times over. Lots of risk taking artistically speaking. I haven't heard an abundance negative criticism so i am happy to give it to those who want something new. Cheers guys.
You guys are playing your nuts off. The mixes sound good too, frenetic like jesus needs 'em. Lazerblasts n lace is amazing.
Love the riffs in just for men. Love the synth in the middle of passive attack.

Overall, this stuff reminds me of At The Drive In, who I absolutely love.
oh man, reading the reviews of this, im going to have to take a listen after work tonight!

CONGRATS ON THE ALBUM!!!
yeah this stuff is great. im impressed. the singing reminds me of silversun pickups. the lazer song is really energetic. digg.
