About me
(this is my current press bio, forgive the 3rd person nonsense;))
32 year old french musician, based in Nantes, composer, performer and producer of his music. After a seminal electronic era (1995-2002), Khoral brings melody and songwriting forward for his debut album, Animal Fraud. Produced between 2002 and 2005, distributed in CD and digitally by Wild Palms Music, the record is a mix of influences, sophisticated songs tinged with folk-rock, pop and electro. Two EPs are then released in 2006 : Elevator Songs (MP3, Electronical, 70s styled instrumental music) and Marys Mellotron Song (CDR, Papergoose Records, pop electro). Khoral distanced himself from electronics for his second lo-fi blues album, Black Hole Years (MP3, Acousmatic Records), and its minimalist, gritty sound, based on slide guitar and industrial beats. The third album (Strawberry Blonde, 2007, unreleased) aims to synthesize the various styles of these past works, straying from Animal Fraud cold wave and the electro blues approach to Black Hole Years, using analog sounds and electric pianos in search of a funkier, richer and more accessible record...

Electronic Music promo: New Free EP : Tsinam's "Chasing Ghosts"
Store Written February 01 2010 , Tags: electro, pop, free, vintage
Hello there, a new release...

A bit special this time, because I do shut my mouth in it, but it isn't instrumental either.

Tsinam will be a side-project with female vocals only. I write and produce the thing, but don't sing at all.

Mademoiselle Roxanne beautifully sung these four lush, intricate pop songs, and couldn't have done a better job at it.

The sound here is vintage as always, ripe with warm analog synth sounds, Rhodes, post-psychedelic guitars and Mellotron.

It's 4 songs and 1 instrumental coda.

1 - The Farewell Song
2 - The Great Lost Sorrow Tune
3 - End of Words
4 - Ghosts of my Enemies
5 - Opium Spider

Many thanks to Lowlifi for playing lap steel guitar on track 2, and Sohcahtoa playing Rhodes on track 3.

You may download it here, complete with printable CD artwork, lyrics and iPod icon : link

the cover reminds me a little bit of the latest von Trier movie.

d/ling, will listen to it on my way home. thanks!
Haven't seen that one

All right, let me know!
All good tracks, but my favorite is "The Great Lost Sorrow Tune". The arpeggio and intimate singing in the beginning is what really got me. Just beautiful, man.
Thanks a lot
really good/you should definitely continue with this project and do a commercial release//my 2 cents
thanks!
there's definitely a full-length album in my mind, possibly with two female singers
really well produced khoral. i enjoyed this even though the style isn't my regular cup of tea.
I appreciate that, thanks!
