vordhosbn made on real drums Video (skip at 0:44)

what makes aphex twin a great musician is that his music can be played and arranged for real instruments and never lose that awesomeness
Flim guitar cover Video

and... Flim jazz cover Video featured in this ipad app add video
Watched it last night and nearly cried. Great track and amazing cover.
the shaker player is waaay in to his part!
Recent blogs: Non-standard midi keyboard, janko
wow, that jazz cover of flim is ace.
I don't like this at all ... fucking grooveless.

too fast ... no sustain ...

I think the complete opposite is true... take any of his classic "woodwind" lines for example and play it with the real thing... it'd sound terrible.

play it on a 90's rompler .. it'd sound pretty good.

The embarassing piano tracks on Drukqs I thought proved all this already?
one last comment... if your gonna even attempt aphex "real instruments"... just go for the gold and do Lichen. But even then .. what does all this prove? That non-electronic is more "serious"? go fuck your mother,.

btw - flim sucked too... but that's prolly cause I only listen to that track on 33 rpm.

but waht do I know .. this has been my track of the week.
