Electronic Music personal: London London London
Store Written January 12 2011
After lots of mucking about I'm finally moving to London.
I'm really excited about all the stuff going on and have already found some free sound art discussions in a pub, that St. Paul's Cathedral do free organ recitals, the location of some really interesting galleries and lots of other stuff.

Just wondering what your recommendations would be? In particular I'm looking for:
- Techno/minimal nights that aren't full of Barleys or agro;
- Somewhere to watch interesting DIY electronic music;
- Some sort of free improv/ noise event that's friendly and open;
- A job.

any advice please let me know!

By any chance do you mean loNYCdon?
YOOOOOOOOO!

1. I can put you in touch with my mate Ed for good quality techno/minimal nights.

2. and maybe 3. I've never been but have always been interested in SHUNT from afar >> link --- also Cafe OTO seems ace, if not entirely fitting that bill.

4. Any old shit, or summat specific. Not sure I can help with this but can ask around ;)

Hope that helps a bit...x
Nice one mate!
Will have a look into Shunt, not heard of that before and looks ace. Cafe OTO has everyting going on all the time.
2 interviews lined up for next week; plenty more to apply for!
Cheers!
hey Analog, i'll be in London shortly too! definitely interested in those same questions.
I'm coming from Australia on a 2-year work visa, keen to get involved as much as possible with EM...getting my studio shipped over once I've settled
I'll be in and around London from late January, not sure yet if I'll settle there but I'll definitely be spending some time.
Nice one Drewzle. Should meet up for a pint/gig some time. Keep in touch!
