pttrns_intct
this album was created under the concept of making fixed pieces of music again.
i've been shying away from making music that has a clear start and an end.
to me music has always been something more conceptual and/or spontaneous which doesn't require fixed length.
and my idea seemed appropriate as the CD era was ending and i still think that is a valid idea.
but after listening a few inspiring albums that came out last year,
i was feeling a need for a alternative.
as a result i ended up with three new albums.
pttrns_intct is entirely made in max/msp.
the rhythm patterns are composed with zero crossings in sine function with frequency modulations,
where a simple sine function makes two half notes.
the composing program only has four tracks, so the out come is very minimalistic.
