I remember once upon a time, we were able to download releases for offline listening, but now, a new media player has since taken over. Any plans on returning this feature to em411.com? Thanks!

It's up to the releaser to provide the direct download link. Ask for a link and see what happens.
Some releasers might not want you to d/l, but I think most wouldn't mind. Just view source, find "mp3". There's your direct links

there used to be a greasemonkey script to provide the direct link. if I knew js i'd be all over that on account of my flash is fucked on my work computer.
Yes source code is important to understand. Wouldn't it be cooler of you to ask the artist / peer for a download link? Interaction is a good thing! Plus bumps the comments and perceivable activity on this site.
