i promised someone on this site that i would blog when i completed this euclidean MIDI file resource. the demo and explanation are in ableton but the download has a folder with all the MIDI clips so you can apply the techniques in any host. link

They must create all different time signatures too.
unless you're trying to programmatically use these, it's probably best to hammer something out with you hands and use these clips to add some subtle polyrhythms as accents. but in theory you can create any beat you want with these. you just have to be selective in where you place... say... a 2:3 clip in the first bar of a 4 bar pattern.

re: time signatures... these things will loop independently of your time signature (in ableton at least) so if a clip has (n) = 14, then it will repeat after 14 16th notes regardless of what your time signature is. it's a good way to "fake" time signature shifts, but you have to do some math or maybe visually see when the different time sigs converge again for a clean phrase.
