Electronic Music discussion: Buried In Time New release - "Parallax Utopia"
Store Written March 21 2011 , Tags: proqxis, your mom, buried in time
sorry for the semi spammy nature of this email but is there another way to do it?

anyway - i'm very excited about our 12th release "Parallax Utopia" from Proqxis. It's a stunner and a pleasant surprise. Grainy, ambient, glitchy and full of wicked sound design, textures melodies and beats. I think it's an instant classic. no shit.

I normally don't go in for the marketing speak but it's all true. you'll want to listen to this one start to finish and savor it. Repeated listens will only reward you more.

As is our way of late.. it's $1 "pay what you want" on bandcamp. Can't really beat that can ya?

enjoy

So is it safe to assume no one has sat down with this release and some DMT/nitrous/acid/mushrooms/marijuana/beer/cough syrup/ambien/pain killers yet? You're totally missing out! XD
i think it's a great listen in any frame of mind
That was an attempt at "niche marketing" ! lol
i know. i applaud your subtle technique. ;)

people are digging it though. it's one that requires attention and rewards with many listens though i liked it right away.
I liked it right away too. This release has all of the nuance and detail I want out of a recording. Fantastic!

I'll be listening to it many times again.
Thank you ... !
this is fucking awesome.. just got it. respect!

only noticed it was a Buried in Time release at checkout.. probably put some of this on my next mix
I've been enjoying listening to this on every piece of monitoring equipment I have access to. It just keeps sounding awesome.
Wow! :-D donglecorn did a great job on the mastering B-)
The mastering is great. But the best thing about it is what it doesn't do. More specifically, it doesn't smash the dynamics, turning the whole thing into a block of sound.
john did a great job on the mastering. if you listen to any of the buried in time stuff it all breaths and none of it is 'crushed' regardless of who mastered it. i just can't handle that super loud crushed sound.
