It's been a while since I posted anything about the big boxes. But soon i will be losing them. It is a sad day for me.

Well, at least it's better than losing them to a fire...

I would just like to say that your ebay descriptions are things of beauty.
Your use of aluminum foil is also amazing.
Ah. . . but did you see your competition?

is that yours? This person really went all out. I hope they get a few more bids before it ends.

Yes, maybe I should include the space blankets as a selling point.
Man those are so sweet. Why do you have to sell them?

someone paid $558 for that thing! wtf.
wow that;s alot but no surprise, did you see that, "The antennas expands ok"
@kg you have antenna envy.
the irony here is so thick i can't tell if any of this is real.
as a kid i used to get a strange kick out of reading the home audio section of jc penny, sears, and montgomery wards flyers. it was always interesting to see how emerson and other odd brands would ape what sony/jvc/panasonic were doing. often times it seemed like certain features would be molded into the plastic faces of the components that were purely marketing stuff. i suppose now the equivalent is sharper image and brookstone. somehow that is lacking the fun, perhaps due to the pretense of being surrounded by massage chairs. a friend recently started using an emerson record/tape/radio machine in his living room. i have to say, thumbs up to that muffled 80s mid-rangey, warm, totally eq'd for rock n' roll sound.
Aw, end of an era maaaan!
sadly. every day feels like that now
drat. did not make 500$ per boombox.
