I just got back from vacation. I went to Chicago to see the sights with my kids and most of my family. My brothers live in the Chicago area and when I met up with my younger brother he said he had a present for me. Being a cool younger brother I expected an awesome gift from him (the last thing he gave me was a graphic novel version of "Ender's Game"). When he opened the bag he pulled out the mc-303 that my other brother had given him years ago (and I had been lusting after since I was like 14)... he said "yeah i found this under some stuff while I was cleaning up and don't know where the power cord is so you can just have it. I know there are tons of 303 haters here but can't go wrong with a free synth!

the only hate it deserves is for its name- calling it a 303 is misleading - same goes for mc909, sp808 etc
mc303's still get a decent price on ebay- i wouldve thought theyd be pretty cheap but i guess theyve become a classic in their own way free stuff is always good lucky. I've always wanted one of those
The mc303 was the first sequencer I used since I didn't have enough for a pc back then. I remember being heartbroken that the knobs wouldn't send midi cc data out. The mc really has that Jpop sound to it.
yeah they don't send midi ccs but this is a perfect match to go with my ef-303 fx box.
boy i got one in a trade and was selling it the next week.
