Sup, I've not had enough of brooklyn yet, just need some cleanliness and mountains in my life. Well I guess a big motivation to move is that I'm just working on tracks lately and haven't really been too involved in the electronic scene lately. Haven't played a show since March. My brother live in Seattle and is part of a hip hop band. He goes by IfThen and his band is TokenFolk. I'm quite excited to work on music with him again. We have this sort of musical connect I can't find with anyone else, probably cause we grew up learning and sharing music together.
Anyway, I'll be there in mid October after a nice road trip from NY across the country with my girlfriend. I always think that everyone on em411 is based in Seattle for some reason. I'd love to meet some of you, or the ones that don't want to punch me in the head.... JDG.

Ricemutt or bagger288 or whatever he call himself if he posted on here is in seattle as well i'm in tacoma but i hardly ever get out. I hope you enjoy yourself here in Seattle. It would be nice to have an EM411 Pacific Northwest get together at some point. I've only ever met JDG and Umami in person.
What neighborhoods are you looking to live in? We wanna be in a hiptastic hood so we were thinking of Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square or Belltown. I think I'll be working in downtown so I'd love to walk to work. Any other suggestions? Plus, what do you think of Pioneer Square? My bro said he never goes there and it isn't a nice place to live, but seems like the only place that has old brick lofts.
Oh, and I'd love to hear about some music/jam studios close to the city, or better in the city that are affordable. +1 for nw em-meet-up-timer.

I love being in Capitol Hill, but I hate driving there. Coming from NY, it should be mellow by comparison though. Years ago, friends of mine rented a whole floor of a shitty old building in Pioneer Square. It was great; we even threw a sound art show there. I don't know if anything like that is still available. Pioneer Square is also really close to China town, which is a huge bonus to me. Belltown is a weird mix of hipsters and yuppies, with lots of establishments to cater to one of those groups or the other.

Capitol Hill is great. Belltown can be, though it's more hit and miss. Stay away from Pioneer Square, unless you can find something really fantastic there. That neighborhood is for tourists and homeless people during the day, and bridge-and-ferry douchebags during the night. Fremont and Ballard are great neighborhoods as well. You can find cheaper rent in some parts of the Central District and First Hill without having to live in a slum. shit you guys are making me want to move WEST!
