As more and more of us spend less and less time on EM411 and more time idling on sites like FB I realized that I don't know most of the people I know on here in real life. haha...i thought basically everyone on here stopped coming here because they were all on FB...guess not.
people got old too. started families, businesses.. also this sites creator stepped back significantly, malking it dead from the top in a way.
maybe a mixit site with profiles and blogs and AVATARS? maybe we need to start fundraising to pay someone to code it. maybe a kickstarter? or something. i didnt start shit - just got older - still here though - but dont do faecebook

I think this is definitely something we should do. Regardless of EM411 and how it does, the MixIt could use this. I posted about this in the MixIt thread a bit ago. no facebook here either. EM411 all the way through.

ive found many an em'er on instagram, as well as google+ i actually like instagram as a social network. its simple and visual and not full of dumb politics or games or stupid shit. and its got lots of cats. ive always thought of em'ers as a sort of tip of internet spear.
so glad to see spear not stuck in facebook. maybe spear stab something else now. My original plan was to try to build a site with avatars and ratings and such for Mixits... but I didn't have the time to learn coding to pull it off, and participation has dropped steadily over the last few years. There were Mixits not a single soul submitted samples for. Hard to maintain enthusiasm for that. Kickstarter is a great idea for funding most projects, but I really don' think we currently have enough interest to pull it off - professional programmers are expensive.
