So, after having a great time in STFU Jena / Weimar (review by Mark UFOEL coming sometime before the next ice age), I got the STFU fever once again. The plan is to throw an STFU in Dresden next June.
Martin is also planning an STFU in Weimar for next summer, so there are two alternatives:
- split an STFU across 2 or 3 cities again
- throwing two STFUs in a row and calling it an STFU mini-tour!
I'm more excited about the second option, but I'd also like participant input. We have briefly discussed this with Martin but have not reached consensus yet.
Regarding the Dresden event, there's the opportunity to make it a major 3-day event, with workshops, screenings, exhibitions etc. This was my plan for Athens as well, but I couldn't quite make it work by myself. Now I have teamed up with similarly criminal-minded people in town, so it should be easier to make an extravaganza.

i know its unlikely i'll make it to an stfu but im still interested in it if i somehow get a passport then itd be possible ive actually got a job at the moment so maybe i could save some money for a passport + travel money but im quite likely to spend it all on booze + drugs ive been recently doing music with my sampler but i couldnt take it on a plane cos the floppies would get ruined by x rays but maybe i could just bring my rx5 drum machine instead i havent stfu'd since marseille 08 - too long! bla - do you know about stfu leeds?

stef, do you have any tentative dates yet? as far as I'm concerned the mini-Tour is a cool idea, but it'd be great to be in Weimar on a Friday or Saturday so I can get Gaswerk as venue.

martin (and everybody): how about splitting the thing over two weekends? Thu / Fri / Sat shared between Kasablanca and Gaswerk, and next Thu / Fri / Sat Dresden! it's a bit ambitious, but I think we can pull it off.
btw, one of the potential venues here is the Scheune: link Nice one- I'll probably only host a 1-day event at Gaswerk, haven't talked to the Kassa guys about the idea yet.. splitting it between 2 weekends could mean completely different lineups though unless the artists take out a lot of vacation days :]

I know it has been said a million times before, but this place doesn't feel like home any more.... feels like an empty house. If we could move some furniture back in and put some pictures on the walls (aka avatars) I'm sure it would start feeling nice and homely again.... but I doubt that will happen.  Me too.. And seriously, you guys miss the nerdtalk? I miss some of it but tbh I prefer to tinker with gear or make music in my spare time. On that note, I just got a JX-8P I want to fix up =)
