it's the piece that really got me first making noise music. Why it isn't as revered as some of Stockhausen's. electronic music is beyond me. It barely gets a mention even though Song of the Youths or Kontakte get worshipped.
Anyway, listen and imagine what it took to do this on a computer the size of your living room by punching holes in paper tape

Great choice! I was lucky enough to stumble on this in a thrift store a few years ago. Wonderful computer music.

Holy shit I assumed this was computer-controlled! Crazy. "The synthesizer would then output sound to a synchronized shellac record lathe next to the machine"
