Could be slightly more Jukesque.
ok
what the fuck IS juke? haha.. friends of mine make "Juke" or "footwork" etc..
Their called Sich Mang I sorta made a mock juke track the other day.. just making loops of this record.. link as for the term juke.. basically chicago "jacks" and detroit "jukes".
Girl at around 40-50sec in this clip is juking.. link YES! that tracks's almost better than a best-of throat gagging compilation!
JUKE IS CHICAGO YOU FOOL!!!
watch this documentary..... link The music.. not the dance so much.
It gets blurry.. Chicago and Detroit are extremely similar when it comes to music and dance. It's all just double dutch really.. what is that sample?
watched that vid
cool this
is HOT. Love the toms! fun stuff from the chot-man. much <3 4 tha ghetto style.
btw, here's a similarly styled tune i made: link . i made that 6 years ago, while listening to DJ Godfather, DJ Assault and the likes. who knew it would be fashionable again. put it on mediafire, delete
had to copy the vimeo link out of your post for it to work, but that's a pretty good documentary.
It's a good watch... but it's not totally accurate lumping footwork and ghetto.
ghetto was more connected to rave culture... footwork is just BLACK. Just recently have they sorta mixed together (once Slugo and Skip start making it.. cause they're ghetto producers first) It makes it sound like ghetto was really early. But it's not. It's straight up mid 90's. You'll really learn much more clicking around for an hour on discogs.com Page 1 | 2
