Electronic Music discussion: add n to x
Store Written March 14 2012
I like experimentation/noodling with synthsounds as much as the next guy that uses a modular reaktor,
but the only time I really enjoy listening to other people do it, is when it comes together in a song.
A band like Add N to X is the only example I know of musicians with rock sensibilities that use electronics and make i sound universal, like a song.

Anyone can point me to other examples?
Cheers.

Ann Shenton has another project: Large Number
she co-runs a label called White Label Music. theres a lot of synth action on there.
i kinda liked their video with the porn girls playing with dildos and stuff - "insert me" or wutsitcalled

rock sensibilities is totally going to be one of my next song titles

on topic: maybe the new album coming out by squarepusher? i don't know... royksopp perhaps??

@tylth : feel free
the video is plugmein

although the band probably has a high hipster quotient, the music really gets me buzzed.
ignorance is bliss - soulwax does nothing for me, but if it would, my annoyance with their self-importance would get in the way
the people in addNtoX could be annoying bastards in real life but thats why its relaxing to be far removed from a scene
their music just has that magic combination: rocking out with synths for synthheads, not rockfans that need an excuse to listen to synths.

Im not a native speaker, not really finding the words to describe what i mean. its probably a lot more in the music than in the context anyway.
dancing about architecture and all that
I'm not familiar with his entire catalog, but Dwayne Sodahberk seems to fit the bill. (At least, this album link does.)
what about mum?
