Electronic Music discussion: Mixit 101 - Still going...
Store Written May 01 2012 , Tags: mixit, win, samples, participate, moobs
Due to overwhelming lack of submissions (thanks for yours, Leo) - perhaps, we should extend the deadline for Mixit 101 until the end of May --
The samples are up, go get 'em - a whole extra month to Mixit!

If you're new to Mixits, you should check it out -- participants upload noncopyrighted samples, and at the end of the sample submission period, they're all 'released to the wild' and the Mixit begins -- your task is to create a track, using ONLY the samples provided.

You can manipulate them, put them through effects, distort them, etc. -- just make sure all your sounds are derived from the sample set...

At the end, the Mixits are made available for all to hear, download, comment on, etc.
Tons of fun, free samples, and more.

I was a little sad when I stopped in today to see the submissions. I'm going to do another one, for giggles.
I intend to work on mine tonight - life got away from me this past month... lots of people downloaded the samples.
shieet. I'm working on another hardware-based project right now but I will try to funnel the procrastinative energy from that into making a submission for this.
