This is a picture from a few weeks ago, when my friend and I combined all our gear in one room and took a picture. Obviously it looks incredibly impressive, and sounded great, but unfortunately, we got virtually nothing done that weekend. Spent most of the time just noodling about with sounds.
Loads of equipment in one place definitely breeds unproductivity.

Is that Prophet 10 difficult to keep operational? I knew a guy in Friendswood, Texas who had one and said it was always going back to the shop.
I mostly just envy the Jupiter 8. Always wanted one after hearing the early 80's Tangerine Dream, specifically Logos and the Wavelength soundtrack.

the Prophet 10 is basically 2 Prophet 5s in a box, it actually has two Prophet 5 voice boards in it. Those two voice boards go out of tune with each other ALL OF THE BLOODY TIME. Other than that, it's pretty good. This one was apparently used on an Adam and the Ants tour. When we got it, it even had confetti inside of it.
The Jupiter 8 is indeed a thing of beauty. I don't even need to turn it on, just looking at it is good enough.

you should have recorded all the sounds you were making, then gone back and sampled it.

Oh yeah, this photo blog again. It's all great kit. I wonder if they still have all of it.
I have a Jupiter 8 now and can back his statement that lots of gear in one room creates a counter-productive environment. Too busy having fun. At least hardware doesn't piss me off.
