how will any of us ever know if one of our favorite em411 characters dies? what if your favorite member of our community just stopped posting one day? wouldnt you want to know if they were dead or if they just moved on? i suggest that every person that participates in this forum has to notify at least one person in their real life to log in here and tell us if they've died.
i know i will, and i've already alerted my 'safe man'

hahaha, thats a good questiom. i guess we'll have to notify a backup as well. and just hope that they out live you

There was a guy on Aron Nelson's stompbox forum that dissappeared for a while and everybody was coming up with all kinds of ideas about what had happened to him. Anyway he eventually dropped a line to let everyone know that he had been really sick and his wife had left him and other unpleasant shitstorm-type stuff.
I guess that's the downside to online communities.

Find out if they're still alive.
Like.. what ever happened to Skiptracer?"
Poke.

I know you probably know, but for the record, he's alive.

I'm not quite sure, however, whether "mold" is alive. Last I heard he was talking about buying a house out in the woods, this weird purely sexual relationship with a girl and free yellow firewire cables from work. And his Dad almost died.... And he left home and is living on his own somewhere.
And I traded him my PreSonus Firestation for his Firebox and the Firebox never it made it to me. $250 down the drain.
But I don't want to slander a friend. mold was my second favorit EMer. After Mother.

eh, I thought of that a few times. "how would they find out"
I reckon some people on another board would find out pretty quickly, I've been active there seven years and know quite a few of them in person. otherwise, dunno.
what I should do is probably keep a TXT on my desktop labeled "best online friends" or something with a bunch of names and emails. this way whoever takes over my comp (if I die unexpectidly soon) will know what to do when they feel up to it. nothing morbid like "contact these if I die.txt" because that's just depressing.
anyuways, I try to not think about it too much
