--> hows it going EM411?
this blog is for announcing the crappiest piece of equipment you've ever owned.

mine: Roland D2 groovebox.

why: ugly early-'90s orange paintjob. the junky d-pad feature was nowhere near excting as the kaoss pad and also replaced the mini-keyboard (and the spinback effect was total cheese). only phono and 1/8" jacks. had the general midi claps and gunshots (seriously like WTF?). and the worst part about it is that the machine didn't have enough processing power to play a pattern and mess with the effects at the same time - it would glitch up everytime you tried to do something mildly processor-intensive.

worst buy EVER.

Man, Vaz was fucking awesome. That was my second love after Audiomulch back in high school.
Lost "my" copy of it. I would buy it but it's too damn expensive. Maybe later.

another vote for the Quattro.

Thing is completely unusable to me now.

I recorded hours and hours of stuff on it, and did several gigs with it. But it just doesn't work anymore.
It starts crackling and looping parts of audio that are no longer playing. And sometimes just gives everything this bufferunderun effect.... sure, its fun if you are experimenting, but not when you are trying to do real work.

I've yet to get something to replace it yet though... just been using 2 cheap soundcards and an outboard mixer.

I need something new.

there is poo in that picture.

Ensoniq ASR-X. Changing parameters with a loop playing leads to severe playback weirdness.

DUDE!!
id love an sy22/tg33 !! been after one for ages actually.
i like an asrx too.

has to be the roland mc-303. felt good to be rid of it.

had to be my old edirol UA-20 sound card.. constantly crashed, drivers would no longer work, would only record in some wierd stereo/mono thing where both channels were the same but one was barely audiable.. i vowed never to buy edirol again

just recently i bought a Ensoniqe Vfx synth for 200$AU .. seemed like a good deal at the time.. but since then has crashed at least once each time ive turned it on to play with it .. seems to have some nice pad sounds tho..

LOL this blog is the shit - Literally
akai s2000, so hard to load on new sounds. pwned several times over by even freeware software samplers.

alesis D4 drum module, horrible set of samples, ridiculously hard to find a power supply too if you're foolish enough to buy any piece of alesis gear without a power supply.

also, I completely regret selling my korg MS2000 and replacing it with an ESQ-1.

you did what?!?!
die you nonbeliever :C :C

I mostly just get aggravated with something when it only half-works.

I'd rather something be complete shite or work all the time - none of this intermittent crap.

That said, I'm beginning to think the iBook I purchased was crap (logic board issue).

I regret buying the (old) mbox.

i kinda like the mbox. it records guitars real well and doesn't fuck up as much as some interfaces. i am a whoreder of shit gear so amongst my tg33 and amstrad its difficult to decide as everything has its merits.
we had a quattro at work though and it was fucking shit.

actually can i nominate hard drives - they always fuck up.
