Oh, and my fave synth moments:
Information Society: "Running" (Damn, love that sequencer bass that opens that track)
Autechre: "Cipater" (sp?)
Soul Oddity: Every song they recorded. Synths crack me up.
Mouse on Mars: "Distroia" (stomach music!)

That synthy sound right at the beginning of "Never Let Me Down" by Depeche Mode.
Lead synth in "Love will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division.
The floaty moog lead in "Wild Mountain Honey" by The Steve Miller Band.
"Sweet Dreams" by The Eurythmics.
The bassline in NIN's "Closer".
Squarepusher's "Theme from Goodbye Renaldo" (my all-time favorite squarepusher+101 track).
"Using an EmulatorII to fake snoring and coughing" by Ferris Bueller.

umm that tune on drukqs with the whip sample. when everything breaks down and it's just the synths.. so friggin awesome. I still have no idea what synths those are, they sound like 'real' insruments.
