holy shit man this is fucking nutty

urgent is dead on desription. fuck if i heard this on acid i might dive intoan extreme introspective head trip of madness and telepathy.

arps and algos

funny, it doesn't sound like rape... or does it?

intense. and also, i agree with the what-if-scary-trip comment.

Thirded!

this is great!

as for length, i think it's not overly long. i think if there were just a little more variation in the background material then that would do it. BTW the background material is every bit as interesting as the main arpegiator.

the sparseness is really working for you, i think you shold reinforce that at places to make the main melody be totaly dry adn w/out accompaniment, would mess up the spatiality nicely i should think.

keep ddoing more of this stuff, it works.

thanks ;)

arps and algos

fucking awesome, man. love the tonality, the patterns, the compositional sense. please share more about your arps and algos. what'd you make it on, for instance? is it a feedback system, or is it a long equation?

Hehe, I didn't want to because it's embarrassingly simple. It's just me improv-ing with the arpeggiater + chord + random devices in Ableton. Basic square synth with some effects. The background ambience is a sampler that is triggered by the quarter notes of the "melody" i had improv-ed.

simple is the best:D

like in mathematics. elegance. i'm suprised you didn't take more to the g2-i find it really inspiring for generative stuff and feedback systems. in any case, it's good to finally put some music with the person making all these outrageous statements
