| StoreTags: Fruity Loops, n00b, ambient, noise

Well I was listening to a few of the old songs I did [and finished!] before I got my lappy way back in December 2004.
I used to use Fruity Loops, which I was given...
Anywho, I don't have it anymore but I remember that each time I started a song,
I could save the file but never re-open it. So, I had to complete my songs all in one go before turning off the PC.
This track was done using a few edited drums sounds from FL and the rest was manipulations of a 3 note guitar riff I recorded directly into the sound-card [the speakers were so bad I didn't even hear the hiss that was added!]
It's probably best listened to on headphones.
This was the first and only release I ever did on EM411 as Zander and you were all warm and encouraging about it 
Does anybody remember listening to if the first time around?
I'm pretty pleased with it even now despite all it's faults...

Haha, thanks for your words and thoughts, jdg.
Yeah it's a shame there wasn't more development in it or any melody to speak of.
The crunchy drums are one of the things I was, and still am really pleased with.
The sound that's like a shamisen [I think that's what Jogn said it was like the first time around] was a happy accident with the granuliser I think.
Can't change any of it now though, it's all in the past now!

Peter Venkman was my favourite, but I think he was everybody's.

I remember liking your tune as Zander, but I didn't remember that you became tenine, nor do I recognize the song now that I listen again.
I am getting old, even older than jdg, I dont remember much.
I love the grainy chirpy melodic textures, I'm only used Reason a handful of times but I'm impressed with the sound you got out of it.

I hadn't really thought about whether people would still think of me [or even remember me at all haha] as Zander.
Tenine justs seems a better name for what I want to do now. Plus if you Google it, I'm the first link
Thanks again, but you should know, I used FL, not Reason. It's all about the Granuliser!

Haha, yeah I am both Zander and Tenine.
Skip is now Nagrom [it's Morgan spelt backwards]
I'm not with that girl anymore.
We actually split about a year ago, her desicion, but I got over it in about a week.
It turns out she'd been very interested in this guy who I believe is now her boyfriend.
She was really manipulative and childish, but of course you never realise at the time, do you!?
I'm so much better off by myself. I remember I used to always talk about it in the Chat forum.
It didn't do me much good at all.
I don't hate her or even dislike her, but I don't particularly want to know her.
I've bumped into her a few times since [she now studies in another city].
For example I was in a record shop with a friend browsing as you do.
I see a pair a hands of appear next to me, I look up and it's her.
'Hello' I said in a normal voice and she just put on this whole false-surprised attitude as if to say
'Oh, Alex, I didn't see you there' before she walked off.
I don't know if she was trying to annoy me or what, I just thought it was a bit childish.
I'm steering clear of girls right now.
In the last year I've really sorted my shit out and I'm much happier.
I can afford to wait to find the right girl who won't mess it up
Anyway, that's my life haha!.
I think people should do more blogs introducing themselves...
