I've been makin stuff such as this lately. I've been quite clear headed about music in a way that moves me towards definition. Of course I'll still make fart songs.
I programmed the beat in Buzz and Audiomulch
I played, recorded, and chopped the basses and guitars in Sound Forge
I made the vocoder noise with the Analog X Vocoder app.
I need to find a good female and male singer (possible who might play instruments) to start a serious project with.
I mixed and composed the composite in Vegas and I aged a little. Cigaretes take minutes from you.

holy shit.
like the transition in the beginning from dirty to clean. i was sad when the melody went away in the beginning, tho cause i thought it was really sweet. the programming was top after that, but i still really liked the melody. anywhos, the song's got a great groove to it.

yeah, I think that since I did the mix down on with head phones, cause of the old ladie, the bass got turned up alot.
JDG, are you meaning the bass guitar or the general EQ of the song? PS, thanks man.

Sweet. I really like the low freq bass-chord-tones at the beginning and throughout - reminds me of Tribe Called Quest but I can't recall which song.
One thing though - the snare on the four sounds a lot better (louder?) than the snare on the two. Could be the mix-duck that jdg's talking about, but I dunno.

i absolutely loved it. i admire your ability to keep a song like this from getting totally overcomplicated. keeping it simple makes this groove work, making it more complex makes the groove feel fresh again.

HEY do you think it would sound good with some vocals? like real vocals melodies and a full set of lyrics?

This would need some really good vocals to work. Vocals really can commandeer a track.
Very nice track as is. It'd be interesting to get some vocals on it.
