Wrote this one completely on the piano. Then I sequenced it at work and recorded the guitars at home. It's an odd time signature. I used a bunch of free soft synths and a few tracks of heavily effected guitars. Used the granulator from audiomulch. I'm pretty happy with it. I'd love to hear your suggestions or comments.

i liked the last half quite a bit... huge arps like that always get me.. but they didn't sound too straight up and downish, if you get me. also liked the swelly lead sound towards the end.
nice chrod progression, although i think there was one part where it could've used a transitional chord or voice lead or something.. nothing major tho.
bravo for odd time signatures. ever listen to mahavishnu orchestra?

I haven't heard mahavishnu orchestra. I'll check 'em out.
Thanks for the comments and compliments. The second half definitely warms it up. I didn't want to "blow my load" to early in the tune, if you know what I mean. That first verse might benefit from some kind of low key elaboration.

btw are you getting the right tune on this release page? I keep getting my previous release, with the greasemonkey script or otherwise. The radio has the right song, though.

the song is right. apparantly, there's a bug where the uploader hears the previous song they uploaded, not the most recent.
you should def check out mahavishnu (everyone should).. you might know some of the members, John Mclaughlin and Jan Hammer (before he went totally cheesoid). i think you would like it.. it's very complex actualy good jazz fusion, with influences from all over the place.

i can't really comment on the beat without really introducing my trip about multiple meters, so i'll avoid that. i'd play some of that stuff live, maybe all of it. it would be amazing with live instruments.

troid- live would be awesome. Need time and peoples for that, though. And I hates peoples.
Also feel free to lay the trip on me if you wish.
EG- That might actually be the right idea.
