Release

--> sorry about releasing again so soon.

this is a little sound design novella i made a bit ago.

the plot is rather silly. i'd tell you my plot, but maybe it's better to leave that to the listener.

best listened to on headphones.

8 minutes long.

!! tom folery. this is my favourite astroid thing so far. it sounds a bit like a track im wokring on too. but yours has more narrativeness and plot twists and miinutes. anyway stop stealing my thoughts kthanx.

clickclik-and the snyth gones reverby, clickclick and the synth goes dry, hahaha that's very.

So: are there self recorded found sounds in here or what?

all the real stuff is from the sample libraries i use for my work.

all the synth stuff/processing is g2.

thanks!

self recording is the next level. i need a md and binaural mics. that's soon that is.

What's the origin(s) of the squelchy crunchy sound that we hear a few variations of at around 3:34

i need a md and binaural mics.

yes! its so much fun. I'd like binaurals to go with my md also.

dude- link

glasses mounted binaurals!

lol at 3:34...

those are "horror movie" sounds that don't have names-probably stuff like splooping around the insides of dead turkeys and pumpkins. you would ask about the couple of things i don't know... haha. i think is was called "horror movie head crush" or something.

wow.
this was a great way to start my morning. very cool stuff mister.
lots of dense, story-telling, narrative-ness action going on (ha, that makes no sense but sounds cool!)
i had lots of fun listening to this and painting all kinds of mental pictures.
now, where's that coffee....

thanks for sharing!

peace

thanks for that.

horror movie head crush hahaha! (i saw sawIII the other day, what a bag of pants, but the sound design was pretty good) .. ehh on-topic: im asking lots of questions cos i dig this
Did this come out of your days at the Total?

Cant listen quite yet...

very relaxing sounds, I enjoyed this much!!!
Created this "theater of the mind" great fun.
hehe

the musical elements seem very alien and intrusive after accustoming myself to the fieldrecording nature of the intro. Cool effect, that.

I have no idea what the plot is, but I think it ends with you getting beheaded by some dude with a sword.

wanker.

wanker indeed.
I like how it gets progressively more musical as the day goes on, like a day at the gas station.

I dont know what the plot is either... is this a zombie gas station? or like backwoods, rural gas station with a outhouse turned smokehouse in the back?
I like the synth reverb wankery there in the late going.

you go up to a gas station, go into the bathroom, turn on the light, wash your hands, hear a weird insect sound in the stall, go to inspect, find a weird creature doing something you don't want to see, run for the door, find it locked.

then the lights go out, and the whole place rumbles and tears apart, leaving a giant gaping hole in the ground. a techno-insect michael jackson fires some weird device like batman out of the hole, hoists himself up, and does a weird insect funk dance. he shatters a bee-globe, and eats some brains he had in his sack. does another dance, this time while firing a gun.

he grabs you and tosses you into the hole (the wooshing sound) and you drop like twelve stories and smash into the ground of a huge underground cave.

a minotaur comes strolling up, sniffing at you. he sees that you're hurt, and look in his sack of devices for something that will heal you. he tries two things out, but they don't work, until his third device, which turns the cave into a giant music box. he adjusts settings on it, until finally it starts to work. however, the insect beast sneaks up behind him, and they have a mortal dance battle. the insect pulls an antenna out and stabs the minotaur and you stay laying there on the floor of the cave.

I cant say "LOL!" - em411 tells me my post is too short and if I dont have anything useful to say, to not say anything. So I say:
Me Laugh Laugh Güd.

thats great!!
