--> a track from the end of last year.

that bass is the FL dx-10 + a bad quality break loop fed into FL granuliser.

the rest is how my computer sounded after spending a few weekends on research chemicals. this track was actually an attempt to put a beat behind those damn sounds that would appear any time i tried to write anything.

I Like how clear the precusion is. That wobbly sound phases well. Makes the listener feel a bit intoxicated.
Nice track.

I feel this has good guts, but needs a little restructuring....by that I mean i think there is too much going on all at once. Each element is interesting, but are all competing for attention the way they are mixed right now. I would sugest either adjusting the mix and eq or sequencing this a little thinner. I think you'll find that things have a little more room to breathe.

i messed around with the percussive loop for a long time trying to add fills and drops to try and make it less repetitive, but there is bass notes in the break sample i used that didn't work with the bassline from the dx10 when i chopped it up. its in some bizzare time signature [11/something] which makes things difficult. i tried a few different breaks loops and sequencing my own hits, but it sounded a lot less solid. it seeemed like it wanted to be left alone.

one day i'll remix it.

this sounds like a bunch of sounds fed into an audio insinkerator with real end result in mind. strangely time-sig'ed beat+bassline is interesting. as a remix, this could be a lot cooler - you should revisit it.

not to add insult but that should have read "with no real end result in mind". but my latter complement and suggestion still apply :P

I really dig how this track just *starts* like that. I think maybe things could evolve more... and actually, I think those wierd noises aren't really that interesting! (sorry)

good energy though.

yeah it does need an intro and some progression.. that involves me loading on FL again and bouncing out the audio.

i'll do that soon, and remix it in abelton.

comments are completely valid, most of my compostions are the results of hours of jamming and just capturing the audio when it grabs my attention.

i love that dark digital thick tone that's pushed forward. the compressed snare is killer too. you should keep tweaking this and let it evolve. nice one though.
