--> this is a song my girlfriend, ariel westberg, wrote, and which I arranged and produced. it has been being played down at the local NPR station-KCRW with some regularity.

if you remember a few years ago, when there was the issue of the young american activist, rachel corrie, being run over by a israeli tank as she stood in front of a palestinian doctor's house, trying to protect it. She was killed. ariel and I both went to school with rachel. ariel lived with her, she was one of her good friends. this song was written to her.

Really nice, the vocals are great and the instrumentation supports them really well (without being overwhelmed).

A lovely song, I'm sure Rachel would've been proud.

i finally sent this song to her parents tonight.

Very mature and unusual, astroid. Quite beautiful. Please replace the strings as soon as possible. Even if it's just a quartet, it would be a vast improvement to the midi sound of these orchestral samples. It is very well balanced though, and extremely imaginative. I love the sudden appearance of a folk-rock strumming. Those kinds of dynamics make for real magic.

Compliments to Ariel please. Lovely singing!

her voice is reminiscent (to me) of hellen merrill

Lovely song. very sad.

thanks fredo. yeah, i'd have to come up on about a grand or two to replace the strings.
i will compliment ariel.

thank you, p

you could get a quartet together for 400 smackers... or even for free, if you know them.

i won't ask professional musicians to work for free.

really nice
seems like a soundtrack song... if i was a movie producer i'd find a movie to stick this tune in
