Roshi + Lowlifi - Bali
Release
StoreTags: Roshi, lowlifi, crazy drums
Author: Roshi on January 11 2007
--> This is a track off my EP, Postcards. I do drones, bass, and shoegaze, and lowlifi did the drums. Any comments on the mix would be really appreciated, since at this point I've lost all perspective on it.

Lowlifi makes me sad. Mostly because his drums are so damn good on this song, that I have to go back and redo the drums for three of the tracks and I don't know how I'm going to get them to sound even halfway competent.

Other news: I finally put up an andonuts myspace page: link . Feel free to add me as a friend!

very cool. The ambient noise became a bit much for me.
cool work tho.

Niiiiiiiiiizzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeee

love how the drums change with the drones, gives the track a good sense of dynamics/sections while still being chock full of droney monochrome goodness

I still dont know what shoegaze is.
But I like what yous guys have done here. I like all the shakers and stuff.
Dont worry aboot your other drum tracks.

You took out the cowbell solo!?!?!?! ;-)

The mix seems a little to0 loud and distorted, it seems like everything else is too squashed..I would say take the pulsing melodies or distortion down a bit..

...its too loud, and I am too old.

it makes me wanna do my spinning-in-circles-waving-my-arms dance, the one that shows off my dreadlocks so well.

Oh no, the cowbell solo is there, it's just...er...subsonic.

Thanks for the mixing tips...yeah, the distortion is pretty thick, plus the gamelan is kinda loud.
Aw, crap, mlbot.

Are you calling my music hippie?

Them's fighting words.

Excellent work!!! this is awesome

Thanks for listening guys... and the nice comments! These tracks have been sitting on my harddrive forever...they need to find a home soon.

Its like shoegaze but looking down and seeing you have on a pair of moccasins.

All of the elements of theis song work ell together imo.
Moves very well through the headphones.
Nice

LOL @ moccasingazer

"It's like enigma, but with distortion."

LOL, its not often you witness the birth of a new genre

Muklukgazer might be a good name, too.
