--> A short thing I made while experimenting in Pure Data. Everything is synthesised and sequenced in Pd -- I just started it playing and recorded it in Audacity.

Here's how the randomness breaks down:

- The slow-attack sine waves at the start have random frequencies. There are three oscillators going at once.
- The clicks are little fragments of sine waves with random frequencies.
- The fast clicks are the same, with random frequencies and they come in at random times.
- The 'pings' are basically the same as the fast clicks -- random frequencies and they come in at random times.

It's a bit weird, but it was fun to make. It's my first real Pd project, and I'm definitely going to work on it some more. The Pd patch is here if anyone's interested.

I rather like this. If you've ever seen the 1970s TV programme "The Stone Tape," the slow attack random freq sine waves are very much like the starting music used there. It's probably done in a fundamentally similar way.

Thanks, I'll have to have a look into that.

hey, this has a lot of possiblities.
cool stuff

Yeah, it's so easy to make cool stuff like this in Pd. I love it.
