Release
Author: Bluermutt on June 19 2006
--> another one from crashbonsai.
i'm completing the album before sending it to a couple of labels, feed about mixing is totally necessary. Consider that some noize is supposed to stay there...
cheers

great
i like the noise and all of the sounds, they sound like field recordings to me even tho they are obviously not (?). Molto filmico, bello anche il cambio ritmico. i still miss something in the mix, on the bottom of freqs, as the last time. it's too air-y. niente stomaco e molta testa?
bravo, you have been developing your sound quickly and smootly so far.

missing some high freq pierlu? strange cause it's full of crazy sines... what would you add? it's just a metter of mixing?
no fields in there, FM noizes , a sample and some vst instruments.

bottom, low freqs
as of what to add i simply don't know. i would say a kick, but a kick has no meaning in there... but something covering that range of frequencies yes. maybe it could be a static sine wave between 50 and 150Hz? dunno.

.................
ok, i've got this problem that the bass resonate as a bitch in my room so i never understand the real level. i cutted it, the upright was super fat. probably restoring it is enough. thaks p.
yeah bottom=low... don0' know what i was thinking about

you already restored it? either it sounds different now or maybe i just don't know what i'm saying...

man! that player... i'm so scared it will play the song on loop that when it seems to me that there's some kind of an ending i stop it... i missed the second part of it, when the guitar comes in, which is my favourite. that drum loop is very cool, i always liked the "sloppy" kind of sounds. about airiness... i still hear it in the second half of it, and i guess that if you're unsure with bass and you always fear you are overdoing them, your mixes will always be unbalanced. if you think you cannot hear certain frequencies right in your setup, i suggest you find a practical solution soon, cos your tune(s) is(are) really killer.

I really enjoyed this - something to unwind to in the late hours and fade away to. I don't have good enough speakers here to really help out with the mix. It sounds good on my laptop though.

I think the mix is fantastic, no problems here with the low fequencies. I think mixing is down to personal taste alot of the time and I think the heavy essence of the high fequencies bring the whole mix an organic feal.

This is probably my favourite track of yours
this is really really good
(maybe you could just take the 'edge' of the highs)
like a rendition of a good evening with friends, a good bottle, and a girl you like but haven't told yet

nice track. i like the mood and sparseness of it.

cheers guys. I took a listen with my headphones and.. yeah, no bass, i'll upload a new mix. it needs some more at the bottom i think.

i luuuurvs this. it played straight after the last one (which is also great) and i couldnt stop listening.
aural lovelyness....suppose im gonna have to listen to the next one too, now!

everything is so damn beautiful in thsi.
this is fucking amazing

man... this player really fucks me up... i listened to the antropologist and to hate to know in sequence, so i thought they were the same track... sorry for that, but i think it's not completely my own fault... i was mislead!
as of the new mix, i like it better now, cos the upright bass is now acting as bass and kick, frequency wise. I don;t think there're too much low freqs now, or at least this is what i feel in my listening space. cheers, p.
