--> Just finished this one. This is a working title, and it's still very much a work in progress, as usual. I think I've got a lot of work to do to get certain things to sit right in the mix, like the oonce oonce kick towards the end. But I love the main melody, and the spaciousness of the quieter parts. What works, or doesn't work, for you?

love the drums...could be a little louder in the mix, but thats a personal taste thing.

I dig the underlying melody as well.

nice one

nice to hear some airliner!

like it.

bass seems like it might be a little too thick or up in the mix, kinda dominates other things.,. not really too bad though because it sounds good.

I really enjoyed this. And I really like the bass line and patch. The bass does seem kind of muddy in the mix... not sure what to suggest. Maybe play with some compression, pan more stuff away from center, high pass the e-piano, whatever. I am having no trouble enjoying it as is. :D I think you really have something. Keep working on the mix. It's a keeper.

still buzz? great stuff you made with it, and i guess u still doing it!

i always love your bass sounds. this is very airy and offish (beatwise)... just how i like it.

Nicely written piece. I like the melody.

I could do without the aliasing sound on the main melodic synth. The bass could use a bit of EQ work too.

maybe try leaving the bass eq fix until some point in the middle of the track- like an added bonus. a couple of subtle things like that, maybe. nothing huge.

nice one

airy and spacious. i like the way the drums sit, but i think they might need more body to them. feels wispy.
thanks for the feedback. the low end is super cluttered, i agree. i'll get around to fixing this before any sort of proper realease, for sure. astroid, i sort of like that idea...leave the bass a little less defined until later on in the song. i might try that.

ruir: still buzz. i did this all in buzz, except for futzing with the overall level (and adding that first reverb swell) in sound forge. i haven't done any sort of eq or dynamics work on most of the individual parts yet :P

glad you guys are enjoying it. i kept getting the melody stuck in my head after working on it, so i figured there was something happening on this one!

Are the drum supertriggered? the arbitraryness of the reversed sections makes it sound that way, it sounds a little clumsy sometimes. Lovely melodies.

not supertrigger, but a similar plugin, yeah. when it comes time to finalize this, i'll render a few passes and comp together something that flows a little more.

SOMETHING WIERD WITH THE PHASE ON THIS ONE.
shit sorry caps.

teh bass is chorused? its making shit sound wierd in the middle of hte mix.

like the bassdrum...

there's no chorusing (or at least, there shouldn't be!), but i'll look into that...i suck when it comes to diagnosing phase-related stuff.

my ears are super phase sensitive.
i have no idea why... always have been... is it a gift or a curse.
