A tune we recorded while warming up for our last practice. I find making new stuff way more fun than perfecting old stuff.

Recorded on my ipod straight from the laptop soundcard. Jim plays keyboards (a Roland Fantom rack) and sings, Becky plays flute, sax, and boomwhackers, and I sample and loop in Ableton Live. The drum loop is pre-recorded.

Thanks for listening,

kwyj.

The track isn't playing for me. Stinky link?
works for me!
Ah yes, works now. Stinky me.

I liked this! Builds momentum quickly and does a nice job of keeping it in place. The bassline starts to feel a bit static after a while, but it does a nice job of keeping everything together. The boomwhacking does a nice job of keeping the percussion from becoming too stiff.
that organ tremelo is so gramma! its awesome. the flute i like. got one.
nice chords/rythms and groove going. y'all are fun stuff. more please!
wooooo, very chill, and almost a therviery corperation vibe, when the pad/ organ comes in.
very nice:-D
Thanks for the comments guys. I hear what you're saying about the bassline - Jim basically plays it in from his synth and then gets on with other stuff, hence the staticness. We do hope to move on to the level where we can put more variations of the same sound in. Who knows, one day we'll even manage to do a verse-chorus thing, but I'd have to think how to reorganise my live set in order to do that.
The organs are fab! I thought maybe the drums/percussion could do with a more live/ambient feel. Cool stuff.
