daniel johnston/race4prize remix

pawel posted a daniel johnston video in some blog earlier and it got me thinking or reworking the song, which i did just now in an hour or so, hence its pretty sketchy, but hey, daniel johnston is ultimately sketchy anyway so i like it that way.
all i did was add some drums, a bassline, change the form a little, and used a bit of processing on some of the vocals, but i'm kinda happy ish with the result.
another one for the e.p....just ONE more track to make!
oh and the original track is called, Monster In Me......
please don't download this song and keep it as I would feel like i'm ripping the great daniel johnston off  | |

I am a daniel Johnsotn fan, and i really like teh processing on his vocals, way more clear and suttle. The swooshyness doesnt really add much, but i like the bassline too. The drums are great. Very moving track:-D

With these vocals? You could take your part of the mix to the extreme ballistic ape-shit crazy side of music. maybe?
that'd be awesome, cus the vocals freak me out kinda straight up like they are. but I hear something twins peaks like creeping in...

Wow, this is all kinds of good. I'm not familiar with Daniel Johnston, but I'll be sure to seek out some of his stuff. Doesn't look like he's making it on the ATP roster sadly. Still, I'm looking forward to Patti Smith and Explosions in the Sky!

i saw the documentary after it was recommended on here and my girl and I both LOVED it. We're going to see him live at the end of the month. Can't wait. OH YEAH and nice mix according to my lil laptop speaks
