The Sun that Sinks Me - HV9/Tom Phonic
Release

--> as normal, I don't know what to say about my own song.

It started out as a live electronic song until i put it down to 80 bmp then recorded it with filters on my piano through my ea1. add drums, bass, singing and vocoder. I'd like to mix it into more of a cohesive song format, but for now its working good to me.

damn, this feels sooooooo good, Tom. Really rich and warm. Just the perfect balance of everything... the thin voices, the soft warm bass with its complex yet very simple line. All the percussion is super tasty too. Really excellent work, man. How do you mix? Do you have good monitors or headphones or something, because again the sound is really perfect!

Well made for sure. Interesting composition with a super nice mix. This is easily your best production Hardvoltnine.

I can hear them well on my headphones, but the vocals are really low in the mix. Are you self conscious about your voice?

Voices are like fat ladies. We can't hide them in a mix any more than a 300 pounder can look thin in the right outfit.

Love the pitch bends. Down the up, simple but sweet. The bass is crazy good. Vocals are alright, but a bit distracting from the beat. just a bit though.
Works togther well
nice one

oh man, right now my monitors are blow on the left channel, I've been running in mono. I use my head phones when I'm dealing with stereo technicalities and pump it through my right side with its a matter of out loud sound.

I'm not self concious of my voice, I actually have been more confident than normal about my voice lately. I didn't notice that it sat low in the mix, I alway come across the problem that with my crappy mic I have, it seems there isn't much I can do to make the vox up in the mix with out it ruining the track. It might be that I haven't been including vox in my songs for very long and I just need a few more years of experince before I can figure it all out.

thanks so much for listening and commenting

This is great, the vocals seem not loud enough on my speakers, awesome track.

thanks artsigreg.
