Is the track made of the same picture you have here?

no but similar - primary colours derived from a pic of a rainbow

Awesome... this is very "painty", kinda like messing around in Metasynth, only without all the FFT artifactness.

cool! brilliant lush sound, and thanks for link - i wanna try to paint too!

cool idea.

thanks

- i know the snare is too loud
- i've done a more polished final version - but - i'll leave this up for your comments

the snare is too loud. ;) it sounds like someone hitting a pile of wood w/a hammer... which i like. real snares can be so oppressive.

i like all the squidgy clicks and scrapes. it's kind of spooky.

nice touch.
delicate like. the first thing i thought of when i heard that snare was that percussion instrument thats just two pieces of slat wood hinged together at the base that you slap together. i like how its locational image in the mix is apart for other things, like background but not really - like its just in the next room.
did it just kinda stop at the end for no reason? or that my fault?

snare is fine on shitty laptop speakers

Very interesting piece. I agree with Electrodan.

Thanks for sharing Audiopaint.

i love the looping ground actually the most, along with its obligato squirties, and the shifting colors of the simple waves thread it all together nicely.

i'm ambivalent about the snare. i don't hate it that loud, but agree it could be mixed in better with the other percussive sounds at that cadence. but if the rhythms of that sound were dispersed more and less even, i think as a sound it's a wonderful contrast to the slower textures happening underneath.

This is a great track. Nice and subtle and laid back and interesting throughout.

hey I wanted to tell you that I downloaded you're album when you posted a blog about it and its all on my Ipod. I have been enjoying it alot. especially the song with the breaths it in.

this one is good too, but I think it would sound better at 6:50am walking to the subway on the way to work, right now its not hitting the spot.

enjoyed this
