ok. my player only has one track. and it was actually not even loading anymore, because of some things being fucked up by myself. anyways.
i was alittle bit bored this noon at home, so i played a little bit and after 4 hours this little bit just emerged.
it's not really finished. some eq settings need to be done me thinks. but has some nice and lush oldschool idm feeling to it.

My only hint: there a breakdown in the middle where the drums get pretty square and the synths all but go away...
could you modulate the drums just a tiny? A little pitch variation, maybe a tiny filtering, just something to take the edge off of their sampleness?

the beats are nicely programmed but it needs some eq. Is it done entirely on ableton? the whole sound is a bit poor and when i work on ableton i always feel like the sound quality is not that great, don't know if it's just an impression.
i would export the tracks in a sequencer like cubase and equalize the tracks a bit to give some colour.
but you know my mixing difficulties, just don't listen to me.
oh, and the fact is that the melody is always in a low range and tends to stay always behind the bd, me thinks :-)

eqing is the top point on the list.
i'll print this seperate tracks out in mix them in digital perfomrer.
i thought about adding a little bit more synth on top of the foundation.

I thought it was an excellent foundation, with great rhythmic things, but it really needs some more different direction or a good melody on top of it all. I thought the eq was fine..but I am also listening on head phones.

Yes I certainly love the Idea of this song. It tends to the soft melodic IDM I like!! Would have loved to hear an extra synth-layer, But overall Really Majestic Work!!
