it has been a long time since i have posted a song up here (prior to the site redesign) so here is something that i had finished a fortnight ago. field recordings (contact microphone and minidisc) processed and assembled in rezound on linux. it is a bit more percussive (atleast to my ears) than most of my other stuff. probably best on headphones or really loud. despite similarity in name, this is not a reference to Yog-Sothoth, although i am a fan of h. p. lovecraft. however if it conjures images of that outer god then so be it.

This has a very subterranean feeling, and to steal one of Lovecraft's favorite words, perhaps even Cyclopean.
Great to hear new Seanh music!! Its been awhile.
Hmmm.... i'm a little freaked out now. The pitches are... weird, like you've filtered out the fundamental or just created most of them with Ring Mod or
lots of FM. Everything seems hollow and alien.

psyingo: we will need the submarine to get to r'ley. ai! ai! cthulhu f'taghn!!
yogurtsynth (or yghartsyrt, if you prefer): hopefully where it took you was interesting. i am not far enough removed from the process of making it for it to conjure anything visual. though judging from my responses it is looking as though this will retain something lovecraftian in my subconcious.
mlbot: ring mod. every time i am working with sound i go to the ring mod, but most of the time i refrain from using it. if it weren't for self control everything i did would be a feast of ring modulation. hopefully it isn't just cyclopian but also non-euclidian.

jdg: you should have time stretched it to make it four times in length as well. no one would have even known.
energygiant: i hope all of my music is good to walk to. i like listening to it while i am walking or reading. or walking and reading.

Like every time the pulse comes in, my echo-locator sences an insect.
Like Midnight in a red cell.

This is great. Some of the rumbling sounds are complex, and reminiscent of thunder. I'm not sure if I like it or not, but everything sounds muffled like a 70s tape recording.

AtlusZero: your echoloactor sences an insect or the insectoid fungi from yuggoth? (okay, okay, i will end the HPL references there.
sAMsKi: glad you enjoyed.
nicknotis: high frequencies hurt my ears which is probably where the muffled sound comes in.
thanks for the listen.
