Nice, I never get bored of hearing a Rhodes. Lack a bit of evolution and form though.

goguru: its clumsy on purpose. its a set of songs in this style: jazbots ;) imagine a clumsy 70's wobot trying to play jazz. thats how i imagined it

1st jazbot was this:

cool track. i wonder, is this done algorithmically? the sounds are nice. It's a short track so it can get away with being a little static in density and such. There are certainly some crescendo-esque points that emerge. cool stuff.

neat!
I'm 3 notes in and I like it. nice tone!! I wish you'd make a groove out of it though.

Oh nice! The first one is also interesting. I get your intention, it's just that after a couple measures I get the musical idea and it stays the same the whole piece. But, knowing the "text" behind the track, I like the idea of the robot's naivety and clumsiness. It's just that I like when the piece speaks by itself without having to know the context. I like your pieces very much though (with or without the context). As flies said, making them short is why it works, maybe it would be more effective by presenting all the jazbots together once they are done. I'd like to hear all the color!

thanks for great feedback
goguru - yep - when all 5-6 bots will be done there will be a netlabel release with all of it.
you could check our (other) works - those speak for itself - but this one was started with this concept - and i want to keep it this way ...
i dont use to cover shitty stuff under a pompous concept.

its fantastic. love it. also, imagining the 70s bot made it more fun to listen the third time.
just great stuff. no complaints. reminds me of an intro, like its not quite a "song" with typical bars/verse/whatevers. no complaints though!

I love the off rhythm. It reminds me of some of Mingus's stuff. Alot of electronic is way too generic as far as rhythm and timing. I think it could use a broader timbre, but it's great the way it is.

I like it.
seems a bit midrange-y. I guess that's what Bobby27 meant about the 'broader timbre'?
without the concept, I would want the rhodes sound to evolve and/or vary a bit more - it's a bit too steady. But with the concept it makes some sense why.

nice. its definitly off kilter. nice stuff. love the real conflicted majorminor smashes
