This is great. Nice restraint. Simple and to the point. The only thing I'd change is the acoustic guitar sound- it sounds a bit thin and too bright to me- was it plugged in or mic'd? I think a softer, darker mic'd up sound would fit the mix better. I'd like to hear the recorded version.

The resonance on that basslione when it hits the lower end of its progression is TEH SHIZNESS.
or something.
I know its a tiny, perhaps insignificant detail... but a good song that has just one memorable detail will make it totally stand out from a sea of other good songs. And that's the detail thats gonna make this track memorable to me.
If you profuce this track... if there were some way to echo that bass' resonance on the body of the guitar, when it does its little downward progression, that'd be rad. As it is, it totally sets up the guitar progression nicely.

Thanks for the comments mlbot and momsazombie. The guitar was mic'd, not direct, but maybe I should revisit the eq on it. mlbot I'll put some thought into the details. I thought that the keyboard melody at the end was a nice touch but maybe I need something more for it to really be a "hook", or what have you. I'll put some thought into it.

I can't help but to desire a thicker harmonic content in your guitar voicings, but what would I know since I don't play guitar anyway. I like this track overall, and really appreciate how you have kept the drum part below the mix, so that the harmonic aspects could shine.
I love the phrygian sounding guitar chords throughout the piece, nice embellishment of this mode!
I now see that you were going for a minimistic type of feel with this one, so I take back the comment about harmonic content. This truly has a sort of minimal feel to it, well done! I would say that your notion about needing a "hook", is not all that necessary, as minimalism doesn't really always have a "hook". At least that is what I learned, and there really isn't a right answer to such a question. Thanks for sharing!
